Mat Maresch
Hello everyone. I wanted to show two knives I made for a german forum. Both are forged from 1075, clay hardenend. One has a desert ironwood handle, the other is giraffe bone. Hope you enjoy the pics! Mat www.mareschmesser.de Knifemaker, Germany
MDF
Nice knives Mat, i prefer that one in bone handle. The sheaths with the ring and laces in leather are very very good. I often use 1070, you have tempered it in oil or water? Thanks CIAO Marco CIAO FROM ITALY Marco Di Francesco
Mat Maresch
Hello Marco. These blades were the first i ever quenched in water - interrupted quench, after eight secs I went to oil The blades are sanded to 2000 grit, then polished.
