Hello All,

FOund this on youtube

To do not know these folk, but they were lucky.

Pieces of broken tool can be very bad....deadly if from a powerhammer or press.

OUCH, they are VERY lucky. Atleast they had safety glasses on...............

Let not the swords of good and free men be reforged into plowshares, but may they rest in a place of honor; ready, well oiled and God willing unused. For if the price of peace becomes licking the boots of tyrants, then "To Arms!" I say, and may the fortunes of war smile upon patriots

hey- call the Mythbusters! :) Maybe that's what they were thinking of when they were testing the "exploding hammer" myth.

Good find.

What in the name of Hogan's goat were they trying to do? Were they tring to use a forging hammer as a set hammer or what?

It looks like the hammer that exploded had some tooling done on the bottom end, possibly some rounding, like a fuller. Looks like they might have been trying to spread some metal away from the handle hole and towards the ends of whatever they were working on.

This could have been much, much worse for them.
